Oh, I found it to all be very exciting! I was trying to break new grounds with my husband, you see- although perhaps I was the only one who found them to be truly new.
[In terms of medicine, at any rate. For her husband, it was all seeing people as being worthy of such medicine that was the new part. For a moment, her heart pangs a little bit- in worry, in loneliness, in anxiety that she can't help him where she is right now- and she curls a hand over her heart before laughing a little.]
[She can't worry about it right now. Not with the task set in front of all of them.]
I'm worried I might bore some of the people here if I go on about medicine!
I don't know, I think it's something that's pretty important.
[They're going to need people who can patch others up and keep them going, after all. Hieke's own skills will only take him so far - and with his connection to Kelemvor severed, they're even more limited than they were before.]
Even if it's boring, it's still worth learning about.
It's the reason that I was brought here, I'm certain of it.
[Considering the circumstances that were happening back in her home... Well, she supposes she should be grateful that she managed to make any sort of similar name to herself enough that beings of another world were able to become interested.]
[Stretching her arms out in front of her, fingers entwined, she hums.]
I'd like to teach everyone some basic first aid skills if they don't already know them, before anything else. There's only so much of myself that can go around, so it's good if people can help mitigate what they can, even if it only seems like a little bit.
After that... There's a lot more we can look into, especially to help the people here.
[The only hesitation that comes before her next sentence is one of habit, used to hiding her husband's background, before she forges along. Vlad by far isn't the weirdest thing in this situation.]
My husband isn't human either- well, I suppose not anymore- so I'm used to having to adjust my medical practices. But it's better to know things ahead of time.
[That's...an odd choice of wording. There's a few things that image conjures up, and none of them are very good.]
Well - I'm obviously not human. [Obviously.] Tieflings and humans are pretty different, in most ways, and I learned most of my first aid for tieflings.
[He makes no mention of the ragtag group he was travelling with - he took care of them, sure, and none of them were human. But that's just...private.]
It was rather before we met, you see, so I'm not entirely sure on the specifics. Not that you would ever think he was anything otherwise... besides being probably some eight feet tall... Having fangs... A tendency for dramatics...
[She loves Vlad dearly, she really does, but sometimes he's just A Lot, and her fond tone says as much. Apparently it's genetic because their son is the same way.]
Would it be rude if I asked what a tiefling is, exactly? And any of the major differences to keep an eye out for.
[Sounds like a vampire to him! Not that he's ever met one himself. He just knows they exist.]
Ah...it's hard to explain. There's a few different ways someone could be a tiefling - either they have devilish ancestry or their ancestors made a pact with Asmodeus. The biggest difference would probably be the inborn magic a tiefling has, but...That magic seems to be gone, here.
[Hopefully he doesn't have to explain who Asmodeus is. He already feels like he's said too much.]
Oh, good, you're already familiar. That certainly saves me some time, doesn't it?
[So, yes, got it in one. Lisa even seems to relax, with that out in the open. It's funny, but she's never been able to talk about this so openly with anyone. It's really rather nice.]
Does it worry you, not having access to that magic?
That seems like what would logically happen... or at least what I suppose a lot of people would hope for.
[The slight movement catches her eyes, and Lisa turns her head a little before she realizes it's his tail. She supposes that's one of the things she'll have to get used to, working here. Well, in due time.]
I can hardly imagine how it all works myself. I'd love to know how more in detail how they've made all this happen, and yet saving this world of theirs is something that they can't accomplish on their own. It sounds.. really intriguing, to say the very least.

[His head bobs at that, and he looks into the fire.]
I...know a bit of first aid already, so there's one person you won't have to worry about. Don't usually work with humans, though.
[Despite that, the principle is still the same.]

[He leans back, tail flicking back and forth.]
...No. Not really. I mean, it's like there's a part of me missing, but I'll get it back once our mission is over, won't I?
[It's the other magic he's more worried about, but he's not going to mention that.]
