training; [After spending the last few months in a constant fight for his life, training is the last thing he wants to do. He just wants to relax, but he supposes relaxing isn't really allowed when it's a fight for all universes you're dealing with - which is a shame, because he's also still getting used to seeing the sun again.
Regardless, the dummies aren't much of a match for him. It's immediately apparent to anyone watching him that he's not a stranger to combat. His moves are fast, efficient, and he rends the dummies to shreds. What isn't apparent is whatever his Semblance is - whatever it is is a mystery.]
grimm hunting; [He can see them out in the distance - the night is dark, sure, but he can see their shadowy forms out in the distance clear as day. That's one good thing, he supposes.
He's hesitating, though. He's tangled with his fair share of monsters, but most of the time he had someone there to support him. Someone who could take a hit and keep on going, but now he's alone with just a bunch of strangers to keep him company.
He looks over, seeing he's not alone, and opens his mouth to speak. His tail flicks nervously behind him, before he sighs.]
We should...probably do something about them, huh?
R&R [Finally, finally, he gets the relaxation he wants. Around a campfire, even. It's just like being home, but with less tarot cards and less boisterous laughter. It's kind of lonely, in a way, even though he knows he's doing the right thing. Or he hopes he's doing the right thing. It's hard to say, when everything is so foreign and strange and they're talking about the fate of everyone's home.
But, whatever. No time to dwell on that.
He settles himself down near the fire, tucking his hands under his arms and draping his wings over his shoulders. His tail curls around himself, and he looks off into the distance for a moment before looking up at his companions.]
So, what kind of places are you from?
[He can do this! He can make conversation! He just has to remember what Driss and Sansabard would do and do the opposite of that.]
[To go from a Driver to what amounts to a Blade. A strange turn of events, to be sure. Nevertheless, it is what it is; Mòrag accepts this, for fighting it would be futile.]
[Her hand rests on the katana at her side, her eyes shut as she judges its weight in its sheath, its balance, the feel of its hilt against her fingers. Though she much preferred her own weapons, she hasn't been so fortunate in that respect either. Very well. She can work with this.]
[A flick of her wrist, a motion of her arm, and the katana is behind her in an instant, only the faint rush of air evidence of its passing. A moment later, the training dummy she faces detonates in a rush of flame and heat, as flickers of blue fire crawl down the katana's blade.]
This is inadequate training.
Grimm Hunting
[Well, this is a problem.]
[In the middle of a pack, Mòrag ducks and weaves and parries with her katana, doing her utmost to keep the three Grimm surrounding her from landing a hit. That she is so far unharmed is testament to her skill, but also to the flame that swirls around her, scoring the earth and doing quite a bit to keep the Grimm at bay.]
[Nonetheless, she is indeed trapped in their midst, and odds are her strength will fail before theirs. Cool-headed despite the predicament, she keeps searching for a way out. Something's got to give.]
R&R
[The concept seems foreign to her; Mòrag, even seated by the fire, retains a posture of calm readiness for any danger or trouble that might come their way. Through the grill of her hat, her eyes mind her companion, learning what she can of them just by physical appraisal.]
[That, of course, only goes so far. So she breaks the silence, the burr of her accent no less sharp for the quiet night.] So then, what Semblance did you come to possess here?
[Lisa can gladly say that she's managed to traverse great expanses of land, fending off wildlife and sometimes darker creatures with only fire and a small hunting knife, all the way to the castle of a man with more rumors than threads in his fancy cloak. Of course, so much of that had been hopping from town to town, hitching rides where she could.... It's a bit much to say that she's a combatant of any sort.]
[So, armed with with some sort of... knife that might also be a gun, she boldly approaches whoever else is in the training area.]
How skilled are you at fighting? Because, while I can take care of a ruffian in a tavern, all of this is just a tad beyond me.
B - Grimm Hunting
[Back in her village, it was genuinely understood that an inexperienced hunter could do more harm than good depending on the circumstances. Lisa has no doubt that the same is true here. So instead of rushing off into the words, others can find her bustling about the fires making various packs of some sort.]
[Anyone who hesitates for even a second will have her gesturing for them to come over.]
Here, come help me. We're scarce on medical supplies, but that just means injured people will be all the more likely.
C - R&R
[Everyone is tired, the night is long, and it is quite the familiar sight for Lisa, if she is quite honest. That means, even as she flops down onto a seat near the fire, she somehow still seems to find energy spare in the way she claps her hands together.]
So! Who knows any songs?
[The constant fighting will drag them all down if they're not careful. Best to find some merriment where and when possible.]
D - Exploration
[One can find Lisa Tepe considering the cave, although from a distance, one hand curled at her chin. Upon noticing she's got company, she tilts her head towards the cave.]
So, what would you wager that one of our more foolhardy or curious companions has wandered off that way?

Mou, this isn't working. I don't know how to fight without my Persona! Maybe if I had some of that Dust stuff...

So... Think whatever's in there is worth the risk? Normally I'd be able to tell you, but I lost my Navigation abilities when I came here.
[The gentleman in the suit seems to have been taking all of this in stride, as unbelievable as it is, but he also hasn't thrown himself into training like many of the other people. Instead, he's stood to the side, watching everything intently and exchanging a softly pleasant smile to anyone who tries to make eye contact with him.]
[Eventually, he makes his way forward to someone who looks as though they've just recently finished training- at least for the moment.]
Excuse me. I'm Doctor Vitae. I was hoping if I could have a moment of your time. I merely wanted to inquire on your use Semblance.
[Or, well, lack of, depending on the individual.]
B - Grimm Hunting
[Even deep into the night, with the sound of growling keeping the air eternally alive with sound and anxiety, "Doctor Vitae" still keeps that calm and soft smile on his face. And he's still watching, too... His brilliant red eyes looking deep into the forest.]
I wonder how intelligent they are? That may be the first thing we should discover. Judging from the lack of resources this place has, things may have changed since they last looked into the Grimm.
C - Exploration
[Despite his professed interest in helping everyone like any good doctor should, or even his many helpful acts around town, or how he claims he's not much of a fighter... Doctor Vitae sure doesn't seem to have any issue at all in venturing out on his own. Near the cavern, investigating some of the moss growing along it, is where he can be found this time, and he glances over at the sound of someone coming nearer.]
[Leorio might have agreed to this whole.... thing, but that doesn't mean he's happy about it. In fact, this is the sort of thing he was trying to avoid. He had his plate full back home, getting a crash course in being an apprentice to one of the most talented doctors around on a ship that was already having everything wrong happening on it while they were en route to extremely dangerous unexplored lands.]
[Also one of his best friends was doing something stupid and dangerous, because of course one of his best friends was doing something stupid and dangerous. Which would be one thing, if only Kurapika wasn't eternally keeping him out of the loop.]
[Leorio's a passionate guy, so he's expunging all this exceptional passion onto one of the nearest dummies. For those who saw him earlier, he doesn't look like much: extremely tall to the point that he looks lanky. But Leorio isn't, as it turns out... and that much can't be more clear than when he enters the training grounds, hauls ass to one of the training dummies, and just slams his fist into it.]
[The dummy snaps right off its base and goes fucking flying.]
[Before it begins to pull itself back together, it's very clearly bent right in half, and all Leorio does is straighten up with a few quick shakes of his hand.]
Whoof! Now I feel better. [...] Shit, I hope no one else needed that.
B - Hunting
[Monsters threatening the town? Leorio is already up on his feet, cracking his knuckles.]
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, right? Let's go out there and get rid of these stupid things!
[Because you are coming, right?]
C - R&R
[As the night has progressed, Leorio has almost definitely gotten his ass at least a little kicked. This doesn't seem to be stopping him from being up and about, however. He looks... a little like shit, with various bruises here and there, hints of bandages underneath his clothing.]
[Despite his state, he's still hauling around a bag and stopping at every person he's seen tonight, and even those he hasn't.]
Hey. How are you feeling, after everything that's happened tonight?
[For all his bravado and loudness prior... His voice is actually careful and concerned as he speaks up now, the exact opposite of what one may have come to expec of him.]
Training [It's a lot different than fighting in the Metaverse was, that's for sure. Honestly, it's why she's focusing on things a bit at a time, alternating between use of her axe and use of her new Semblance--plant manipulation. Whichever one she's used most recently, she's taking a break now, her axe still nearby.]
My goodness, I'm still going to need more practice before I'm entirely used to this...
Grimm Hunting [Haru doesn't like what she's hearing tonight, frankly. It doesn't sound like there's a lot of Grimm out there, but even just a few is more than she's strictly comfortable with. Her eyes flick over to whoever's with her.]
Should we go after them?
R&R [Haru's much gentler, genuinely so, when fighting isn't at the forefront of her mind. She settles in near the fire, glad for the warmth, and offers a smile to whoever's nearby--and should they be standing, she motions to invite them to sit with her.]
We've all been working hard... come, rest for a while.
If anyone sees something brilliant yellow out of the corner of their eyes- it's not an isolated event. There is a figure the size of a Barbie doll- proportions not the same of course- keeping to the sidelines of this whole... strange thing. They almost seem to be hiding occasionally, peering warily out from behind weapon racks or seats.
Six agreed to the strange figures that found her, because the alternative had been being eternally trapped, but now she's left feeling... powerless again. The... people here don't seem warped like the Cooks, or the Janitor, which would be reassuring, if the last person like that which she had seen hadn't been the Lady. Everyone here should be here for the same reason she is, but...
There's only so much scurrying that one can do, however, before clearly action has to be taken. Those going to check out what other weapons have been provided to them will find the tiniest little figure in a brilliant yellow raincoat trying to clamber her way up the scabbard of a hanging sword. Once she realizes someone is coming near, she promptly freezes and the tilt of her head implies she's definitely staring.
This time, she doesn't run off. Judging by the way she's tensing on the scabbard, she's still considering it.
B - Hunting
If there is one person that shouldn't be running off towards the immense darkness full of teeth and growling and danger, it's the tiny child that almost anyone in this town could pick up with a single hand.
And yet there she goes!
There she fuckin' goes.
Anyone gonna do something about that?
C - R&R
Have food? Soon enough, you're going to have a small hanger on to accompany that food.
Six is... always hungry, she's found. Starving and often ravenous. It's felt stranger, here, like something about her body has changed in a way that was wholly different from her... last meal. However, hunger is sometimes often still hunger, and so here she is, peering around a makeshift bench with one hand curled at her stomach.
Even with part of her face hidden from the deep shadows of her hood, it's still pretty obvious to tell just what has her attention.
D - Exploration
For once... Six takes the initiative. It's been long enough, now, that she doesn't feel quite as twitchy. Yet while everyone is in town, she still waits until one person in particular is on their own for whatever reason before she darts forward. Whether it's a pant leg, a long enough skirt, a sock or overly long coat... That will end up being tugged by the tiny little child as she looks up expectantly. Once she's sure she has the bigger person's attention, she points with her other hand... in the direction of out of town.
[The girl in the training ground grumbles, glaring at the training dummies. Her power doesn't really seem to be doing much to them yet, but if you walk by, you'll feel the surrounding area start to get hot or cold. Looks like this one got stuck with a Semblance that controls... the temperature.]
No way! I wanted something better. More useful. And cute!
[r&r]
[Icebreaker questions would be great, except... when this one showed up, she had no memories. Still doesn't, not beyond having apparently woken up on a hill one day and wandering into town. She raises her hand.]
Do I get to skip? I don't even know what my name is.
[Okay, so it's a little weird that an unassuming housewife would be brought here, but hey, she's a nice person. She cooks, makes sure everything is clean and no one gets sick... but you probably don't expect her to actually fight.
Yet here she is, jumping in while you're fighting a Grimm, and this 40-year-old woman just backflipped to dodge its claws and threw a knife in its face.]
You're all right, aren't you?
[r&r]
[Eimi's working hard at preparing food for the campfire, but you might come upon her making a face as she carefully cleans a fish.]
This would be so much easier if they had stores out in the middle of nowhere so you could just buy this ready to go.
It was strange, waking in a new world so soon after her old one came crashing around her. Strange that the start of one journey became the start of another entirely, but she had to complete this one if she wanted to return to the other, along with the worlds of everyone else.
Adela sighed to herself as she geared up, frowning out to the village's borders. Better to start early, and she was ready to do it alone if she had to. Or, so she thought.
Several steel marbles were kept in a pouch at her waist as she drew her longsword, taking one last look at the village before stepping towards the village's perimeter. It wasn't a thought that she'd have someone watching her back. Even after being placed on a team, she was still used to pulling her own weight, to doing things alone. Whether she was followed or not, she didn't care.
It didn't take long for the girl to run into trouble. Beowolves, a group of four. They howled, snarled, their eyes glowing red as Adela danced around them, her footwork light with the practice of a master. In fact, it would seem like she had it handled... Except, she wasn't attacking. In fact, she was keeping her distance, her hand shook, and she hesitated before taking a grip on her sword.
At last, she lashed out and the first one was fatally struck. It went down, dissolving into nothingness and only leaving bones, before one of the others clawed at her. She cried out, a deep gash in her shoulder, and she shook more. It had to be wolves, didn't it? Panting, she continued to try and dodge, waiting for the right chance, but hesitance was a lot more prominent now that she was hurt. And, for whatever reason, she wasn't relying on her semblance, let alone activating her aura. Perhaps she had expected it to be too much like home, not learning enough of what that world had to offer.
Regardless, with three beowolves left and possibly more coming with her fear and anxiety growing, chances were the short red-head would need help, and soon.
C. R&R
It had been a near-miss, and with her shoulder then bandaged up and a change of clothes on, Adela was keeping to herself. She didn't want to talk about what had happened, she didn't want to take time to rest, she just had to do better. Using this "aura" apparently would be one way of making things easier, but her semblance... Her magic. She was still hesitant. She wasn't sure she should. It had been always such a terrible thing to have, and yet it was supposed to be all right there?
She looked around to the people she was supposed to be teamed with, unsure. She supposed she could have asked them about aura, how to use it, what she was supposed to be looking for, but at the same time she didn't want to. She never had anything handed to her, always had to fight for it, so why would this be any different? Eventually she closed her eyes, trying to make herself comfortable sitting (and grimacing when pain shot through her shoulder from moving it incorrectly) before trying to breathe, to focus on... Whatever she was supposed to be focusing on, trying to find her aura.
Between the warmth of the fire and her being so tired, however, it didn't take long for her to start wobbling on the spot, trying to stave off sleep to the best of her ability. Distantly she could hear them speaking to one another, but she wasn't really listening for any of them. It wasn't exactly something she was used to, after all.
[So says the tall, darkly dressed woman who's watching the rest of the group slaughter some helpless training dummies. And, to Maleficent, this was beneath what she was normally accustomed to. Training with a bunch of inexperienced children, while she couldn't call upon her incredible array of sorcery? Hmph. Just another thing she despised about coming to this world.]
And I suppose the enemies we are to face will simply stand and let themselves be done away with.
[She smiled and leaned gently on a long staff - not the one she had from home, but something new. A weapon of sorts, the only thing she liked so far.]
They will surely meet their doom.
[Grimm... hunting?] [Fighting up close and personal was just not Maleficent's style. She preferred dealing with things magically, from a safe distance. But the Grimm offered little of that, a shame, really.]
Now, listen at once, vermin. [She said the last word with vile and slammed the end of her staff down before the Beowolf currently stalking her. It was either gauging her up, or genuinely interested in this.] As the commander of Darkness I order you to obey me!
[It looks perplexed, as much as a Grimm could be. Which is to say, it looks like it's winding up for an attack.]
[R&R] [Shock of all shocks, Maleficent isn't a people person. So you're not going to find her sitting at the campfire.
But a little further away, through the bushes and away from the firelight, you'll catch a dark and green shape of a woman, standing in a clearing, looking up at... the moon, it seems.]
hunt or be hunted [ This isn't anything new to Noctis. He's been on plenty of hunts before, so this just feels normal. He's well aware of the danger, but he's confident in his abilities... ]
Feel up for a hunt?
[ ... and those of whoever he's flagged down. Maybe he's being a little reckless, but... surely it'll be fine. He's here to take action, to make sure that nothing happens to his world, and this is just one of the things he can do.
It'll be fine. ]
relax and reflect [ Lately, Noct's been having a lot of time to reflect. Things back home--they're not going so well. It's been hard on him, and maybe he's not handling it as well as he wants to but... at least there are people here who don't look at him like he's screwed up. That's a relief.
He feels a little less like there's a huge weight on his chest, but he isn't sure that makes him feel better. But this is gonna help, right? Yeah. So he'll be fine.
Noctis looks into the fire, and he manages a tiny smile. ]
.... Feels familiar.
what lies within Huh.
[ A cave. Man, he's not sure he wants to go in alone. At the same time, he's curious, and not checking it out is gonna be like trying to ignore an itch he can easily reach. He looks to anyone who's nearby. ]
[ Dealing with these training dummies has been nothing been a bust. Peetty much almost enough to put him to sleep.
If anyone else is having a time of their lives here, he'll face them. ]
Having as much fun as I am?
Grimm Hunting
[ Well the noises they're making is kind of irritating and he figures the people in the village need some peace of mind. And someone's got to take care of it.
So, here he is, slipping out under the cover of dwrk...but is he alone or does someone catch him in the middle of playing lone wolf? ]
R&R
That sure was one hell of a day. But, you know what'd make our cooling down better? Bein' able to hang with some smoking hot beauties and some drinks!
[ He sounds incredibly excited about that. But question is, does anyone else think that's actually a good topic of discussion... ]
[someone here is lost or mad] [Jun sits apart from the others around the campfire. It's as much for others' comfort as his own. Of course he'd agreed to help, how could he not? But that doesn't make associating with total strangers easy. So he stays quiet, just watching the others for the most part. For a while, anyway.
Unless someone notices and stops him, he's slipping away, going off on his own, away from the glow of the firelight. Grimm? He's not too worried. He can hear at least one nearby, thinks there are probably more.]
Let them come... [He's ready. He could use a distraction. Even if he's alone.]
[drink up, dreamers] [A cave...it catches his eye quickly, and stick out in his mind. It's not far away. Sure, he's heard the rumors, but he's not after treasure....not exactly. They were brought here for a purpose, so they have to search for any information or leads they can find. So he can't leave it alone.
...He should at least try to cooperate. Which means not disappearing to places he may or may not return from without telling anyone. He turns to the nearest person...]
I'd like to check that cave. I don't expect I'll be long.
[That done, he'll make his way toward the mouth of it.]

Whiskey - Food Fantasy
Oh, hello there. Now what are you doing out here?

Haru Okumura | Persona 5
[It's a lot different than fighting in the Metaverse was, that's for sure.
Grimm Hunting
[Haru doesn't like what she's hearing tonight, frankly. It doesn't sound like there's a lot of Grimm out there, but even just a few is more than she's strictly comfortable with. Her eyes flick over to whoever's with her.]
Should we go after them?
R&R
[Haru's much gentler, genuinely so, when fighting isn't at the forefront of her mind. She settles in near the fire, glad for the warmth, and offers a smile to whoever's nearby--and should they be standing, she motions to invite them to sit with her.]
We've all been working hard... come, rest for a while.

Six - Little Nightmares

Sawatari Makoto | Kanon
[The girl in the training ground grumbles, glaring at the training dummies. Her power doesn't really seem to be doing much to them yet, but if you walk by, you'll feel the surrounding area start to get hot or cold. Looks like this one got stuck with a Semblance that controls... the temperature.]
No way! I wanted something better. More useful. And cute!
[r&r]
[Icebreaker questions would be great, except... when this one showed up, she had no memories. Still doesn't, not beyond having apparently woken up on a hill one day and wandering into town. She raises her hand.]

Haneoka Eimi | Kaitou Saint Tail

Adela | Original Character

Maleficent | Kingdom Hearts
This is beneath my talents.
[Grimm... hunting?]
[Fighting up close and personal was just not Maleficent's style.
[R&R]
[Shock of all shocks, Maleficent isn't a people person. So you're not going to find her sitting at the campfire.
But a little further away, through the bushes and away from the firelight, you'll catch a dark and green shape of a woman, standing in a clearing, looking up at... the moon, it seems.]

noctis lucis caelum | ffxv
[ This isn't anything new to Noctis.
relax and reflect
[ Lately, Noct's been having a lot of time to reflect.
.... Feels familiar.
what lies within
Huh.
[ A cave. Man, he's not sure he wants to go in alone. At the same time, he's curious, and not checking it out is gonna be like trying to ignore an itch he can easily reach. He looks to anyone who's nearby. ]

[Jun sits apart from the others around the campfire.
