[Huh. Fast kid. Time to see if he can keep up in other ways, too.]
Probably is. Not much hunts alone.
[Other than Behemoths, but if they're dealing with the equivalent to one of those then they've got bigger problems. As they leave the firelight, the moonlight takes over, the dim light barely enough to see by. In the darkness, red eyes flash. Lightning draws her blade.]
I'll get its attention. Sneak around behind it and attack from the rear.
[ He draws his own, a white blade that... well, he'd prefer literally any other color, but it's not like he has anything else. Still feels weird, not having the Armiger. Empty, kind of. ]
[Whatever Lightning's going to say to that vanishes in the crash of brush as the Grimm, seeing two tasty targets, barrels out of the trees with an air-shaking roar. There's no more time for words or plans.
With the ease that only comes with long practice, Lightning throws herself out of the way and into a roll, coming back up like some demented jack and almost vanishing in the dark behind the Grimm's bulk.
Almost. In the lull between Noctis' attacks, crimson red lightning splits the night. The Grimm, caught between two attacks, roars its rage to the heavens. If they can keep it busy, they might have a chance! ...so long as another one doesn't pop out of nowhere, at least. They really are making an awful lot of noise.]
[ There it is. Boy, that's a big nasty. Noctis nearly throws his weapon to initiate a warp-strike, but-- right, that's not happening here. He does dive out of the way and vault off his hands before charging at the Grimm.
He sends what can be best described as a shard of light at the thing before following up with a strong slash at its chest; the Grimm is very not happy with that, but it's effective. But it sure is being noisy. Noctis just hopes nothing else decides to join the party. ]
[The Grimm is having a very rough night. It takes a swipe at Noctis, trying to drive him back, but it can't attack the two of them at once. From its side comes Lightning, her silver blade gleaming in the moonlight as it carves a gash down the beast's side. It squeals, tries to turn on her, and she flips back before it can.
But as she lands, another problem becomes evident. From behind, something else crashes through the trees. Lightning whirls around, can't see it--doesn't mean it's not there--and calls out.]
They're flanking us!
[She barely has time to get the words out before the second Grimm--the same kind and size as their first target--bursts out of the trees. She scrambles clear and the beast can't quite stop in time: it crashes into its fellow with a grumbling roar. Great! Now there's two of them to keep track of! What she'd give for Odin right now...]
[ He's not particularly surprised, though; the Grimm is really mad. But it's sure annoying, edging on dangerous. Funnily enough, Noctis is also wishing he had access to his celestial buddies. Ramuh would be great right about now...
It's a good thing he's great with a sword, because he's got that neat little cooldown period. Noctis moves out of the way of a particularly nasty swipe before he charges in again and slashes at the thing's chest once more. ]
[She's fine, for the moment. Their two on one strategy had been working fine earlier, but now that there's two of these damned things on the field, she's had to change tactics. Leaving him to handle the one Grimm on one side, she darts back around and gets the other's attention with some more lightning bolts to the face. It turns on her, roaring, and gets--
A good slice across the face for its trouble before she ducks out of the way again. They're getting lucky so far, but how long is that going to hold out?]

I'll keep it busy up front.
